REVIVAL 07 NEWS AND NOTES
News Story
It’s a short and sweet news week. Let’s get to it!
-
- Kenny Freeman sent out a message on social media thanking fans for their continued support after what was an exciting seventh edition of ReVival, noting that he and Randall are ready to tackle whatever the next challenge will be. This, of course, was met with replies of “TELL RANDALL TO STOP BEING HORNY FOR RIA” and “WHO EVEN ARE YOU,” much to Kenny’s dismay. You hate to see it.
-
- Joe Fontaine was rushed to a local hospital due to an allergic reaction to something he ate during ReVival 7’s Survivor challenge. It wasn’t made clear which horrible mistake of a dish had given him the reaction, but the doctors that spoke to PRIME said that it definitely wasn’t helped by Joe taking several Canadian Destroyers during the challenge. He is expected to still take part in ReVival 8.
When asked about Joe and El Hijo del Super Cool Guy’s intense rivalry throughout Survivor, Baron von Blackberry laughed maniacally and then said, “Do not DEIGN to speak his name to the great and mighty and ABSOLUTELY PERFECT Baron von Blackberry, unless you wish to be DESTROYED!” He declined to clarify whose name he didn’t want spoken, or what manner in which he would destroy whoever did speak that name. He clarified nothing. There was no clarification of any sort whatsoever. Please stop asking Mr. von Blackberry to clarify anything.
-
- Timo Bolamba sent out an official response regarding Balaam vs Rezin. “While I understand some parties might feel that Balaam was cheated, a referee must make the best decision in the moment. The fact is that Duke Williams and Joe Burro caused an intentional distraction and Rezin took advantage of a situation that would not have occurred if they had not interfered in the match. In doing so, they almost certainly put Balaam at a disadvantage in a match that he was quite capable of winning. It is unfortunate that this event happened, but I stand by my decision and if there are continued interferences in the form of distraction by Duke Williams and Joe Burro, I will petition for a ban at ringside to prevent future mistakes from happening.”
-
- The Anglo Luchador is reported to be furious over the snafu regarding his campaign banners falling down upon unraveling at ReVival 7 before his match with Impulse. In response, he has fired every single one of the companies who have been providing him with campaign materials so far.
-
- Lawrence Podehl, the representative for King Blueberry, reached out to the PRIME offices with a message on behalf of his client:
“My client, who currently competes under the name ‘King Blueberry,’ would like to offer his sincere apologies to Mr. Melvin Beauregard, Ms. Lindsay Troy, PRIME, and the MGM Grand for his actions on the 7th episode of ReVival regarding the defacing of Mr. Beauregard’s private office. He pledges to use this as a learning experience, and exercise better judgment moving forward. Additionally, he has committed to paying any fines levied against him, as well as any fined incurred by his colleagues Mr. Baron von Blackberry and Ms. Ria Nightshade for their roles in his escapades.”
-
- Two reports coming out of the office of PRIME’s Medical Director, Dr. Astrid Fihlguud. One, Solomon Richards is still feeling the effects of the double chairshot from Patience and Decius Montgomery at Culture Shock and will be out indefinitely; and two, Teddy Palmer did not pass his latest drug test and has been suspended pending further investigation.
-
- While he refused comment on his office situation and King Blueberry at this time, MGM Liaison Melvin Beauregard is said to be overjoyed at the GREAT reception that GREAT SCOTT has received so far and had asked both him and GREAT BEAR to guest DJ at the MGM pool this upcoming Saturday and Sunday.
-
- And finally, a hot skoop regarding bookings for ReVival 9 and Great American Nightmare. During the post-ReVival press conference, Lindsay Troy was asked about the ending to the Five Star Title match, and had this to say:
“I can’t say I’m surprised about how that match ended, given the nature of how it came to be. That said, I had planned on there being another Five Star Title defense at ReVival 9, where the winner of tonight’s title match would face the winner of Anna Daniels and Cecilia Ryan. With Cecilia winning her bout, and with no clear winner between Hayes and Red, I’m making this match a triple threat. Whoever wins will go on to defend the title against Rezin at GAN.”
