Dusk to Announce Retirement at ReVival 11!
News Story
Breaking news that we alluded to earlier this week that we have just been able to confirm with our top-secret sources within the hallowed PRIME walls.
As we mentioned at the beginning of the week, there has been murmurs of a PRIME superstar weighing retirement on the advice of the PRIME medical staff as well as his own doctors. We were hesitant to break this news until we could confirm it and ensure the PRIME superstar in question had made a final decision.
Sadly, we have received confirmation that this Friday evening, at the MGM-Grand Arena in Las Vegas, NV that Dusk will in fact be announcing his retirement. The past few weeks, Dusk has been consulting with the PRIME management team, medical staff, his doctors, and his own family on the right decision moving forward. It is said after his match against Phil Atken at Great American Nightmare that Dusk felt like the writing was on the wall.
Dusk was ordered home shortly after Culture Shock as a result of the heinous attack from Atken and his bodyguard Hank due to a serious concussion that he has since referenced on PRIME television. Since then, we’ve learned that Dusk has had lingering effects from the concussion. Further scans have given some concern to officials as to whether or not Dusk should be medically cleared to wrestle. Further tests since Great American Nightmare has added to that.
Dusk joined PRIME in the mid-2000s and instantly found himself competing for the Intense Championship, a title he held twice during his career. He’s main evented multiple ReVolutions as well as was part of the first ever ‘Roulette’ at the inaugural Dice, Dollars, and Tragedy where he competed for the Universal Title. He’s had nine title shots and was successful twice in those matches. Over the years, he has become a fan favorite and that has carried into the Revival of PRIME.
Since returning to PRIME earlier this year, Dusk saw himself win his first round match in the Almaty Tournament, but hasn’t been able to quite live up to his glory years. We understand that Dusk will address the PRIME audience live this Friday evening and it will surely be a moment you don’t want to miss.
