COLOSSUS NIGHT TWO GAMBLING ODDS FROM THE H.O.G!
News Story
Hello again from the High Octane Gambling sportsbook! We’re not waiting until tomorrow to give you the gambling odds for night two of Colossus, so let’s get to it!
The second night of this supershow might have one less match on the docket, but it might be a better overall card. Once again, another night that any other promotion in the country would saw a limb off to have as their pay-per-view, PRIME comes out of the gate swinging with a second haymaker.
INTENSE TITLE: THE ANGLO LUCHADOR © (-200) VS. TONY GAMBLE (+300)
Tony Gamble has had some tough sledding getting himself started in this run of PRIME. The Hall of Famer does have one very important win, achieved at UltraViolence over Mortimer Knightingale, which paved the way for this encounter. But the Anglo Luchador has been the most consistent man on the PRIME roster. He’s gone to HOW and vanquished Jace Parker Davidson, and his run in 2022 will go down in the history books as one of the most impressive in the history of PRIME and the PWA. His losses have been to elite competition, and he’s vanquished plenty of that on the way to the number one ranking. Put your money on the Anglo Luchador, but be wary. This is Colossus. This is Tony Gamble. This is a Hall of Famer. Anything can happen.
GREAT SCOTT(-120) VS. CORAL AVALON(+140)
The run GREAT SCOTT has been on across the entire Phoenix Wrestling Alliance has been incredible. The current HOTv Champion, GREAT SCOTT has been impeccable, taking down elite competitors left and right. The Youngblood killer has only truly been figured out by Rezin during his run in PRIME. But Coral Avalon is a savvy ring veteran, knocking off a bit of rust here in America for the first few months of the run-up to Colossus. Coral Avalon is incredibly game competition, and his proteges the Winds of Change show that Coral Avalon still has an incredible mind for the sport. GREAT SCOTT is the favorite here, but Coral Avalon might be where the smart money ends up as we get closer. This is going to be an incredibly tight encounter.
DUSK (+160) VS. LINDSAY TROY (-130)
Grandpa Dusk finally says goodbye. This is the longest retirement tour since Terry Funk’s. And the Funker’s has gone on for more than three decades. Dusk has hand picked this final run, though, and has taken on top rivals from his past and his own personal dream matches. For his last encounter, the last time he steps foot in a ring, he’ll find himself face to face with Lindsay Troy. Any other time these two have faced off, the Queen of the Ring has been billed as the PRIME Hall of Famer, but Dusk now has claim to that very same title. Some of our less cultured readers believe that Troy’s last active competition occurred in the spring of 2021, but she’s gone on to become the FIST of DEFIANCE with an undefeated streak of over a year, is a top competitor in SHOOT Project, and is the current #1 contender to the DEATHGRAPS World Title. Dusk might be in over his head, jumping into the deep end with a megladon like Lindsay Troy, but The Lost Soul has always been a game competitor for anyone. We like the Queen in this one, but the power of one last match has driven some men for decades. So you never know. Be wary when dealing with incredible juju.
TAG TEAM TITLES: KINGS OF POPSICLES (C) (+140) VS. 2BECOME1 (-120)
Normally a team on the verge of breaking so many records like The Kings of Popsicles would be the odds-on favorite. But for this one, with the Lights Out match happening the night before, we have to downgrade them to a slight underdog. 2Become1 will be fresh and Darin Zion and Jonathan-Christopher Hall, along with their manager Vickie Hall, have been terrorizing opponents, management, and anyone who gets in the path of the Love Convoy. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear a few HOOOOOOONKS during the Lights Out Match, as Darin Zion has never been one to keep his nose out of other people’s business. However, Justine Calvin could play a role in keeping them away, and if that’s the case we’re not a fan of Zion’s odds in that fight. This one will shift once the damage of Night One is known for Jared Sykes. We’ll either see a rapid turnaround and have KoP become the favorite, or 2Become1 will open a margin. If you want to make good money, betting a Sykes parlay isn’t the worst idea. If he can handle Paxton Ray in the Lights Out match and has the energy to take on 2Become1 in relatively good shape, it might be a solid bet.
UNIVERSAL TITLE: CANCER JILES (C) (PK) VS. HAYES HANLON (PK)
Cancer Jiles, in typical eGG Bandits fashion, has been a mercurial force across the Phoenix Wrestling Alliance. When the King of Cool dons the PRIME blue trunks, the man can do no wrong and is almost untouchable. He’s main evented three supershows this year and, beside Brandon Youngblood, has become one of the faces of the ReVival era of PRIME. On the other side of the fence, Jiles has been competing in High Octane Wrestling, and showing his usual apathy towards all things #97RED.
Since ReVival 1, you could see what was in store for Hayes Hanlon. You just didn’t know how long it would take for Hayes to get to this point. The young competitor became the first champion of the ReVival era by winning the Five Star Championship at Culture Shock. One of the men in the main event that evening? Cancer Jiles. His initial run started off with a joker-faced hiccup, but Hayes quickly found his footing. He parted ways with that championship against Rezin at Great American Nightmare, but came back and cemented himself as a leader of the new generation of PRIME wrestlers at ReVival 11 with a win over Cancer Jiles. This one is tough; when the lights are at their brightest, Cancer Jiles is at his yolky best, but Hayes has taken down the Bandit King before. This one’s a toss-up.
