After 23 Days, Independent Wrestler Angel Quinley Regains Consciousness
News Story
In an update of previous news in regards to Angel Quinley, the independent wrestling star who suffered massive injury after a fall to the floor at the Milo Flynn Memorial Cup event on September 1st, regained consciousness after being in a medically induced coma for over three weeks. After tabloid reports claimed that Quinley, one half of the tag team The New World Trash, had tragically passed away due to injuries sustained, her status has been touch and go until seemingly stabilizing late last week. In addition, there were complications after surgery performed to repair breaks in her shoulder and elbow, requiring additional procedures to correct.
While the news of her waking is viewed as a great sign, her road to recovery is sure to be long and arduous. “Her recovery isn’t going to be measured by some time table for returning to the ring. There is little chance she does ever wrestle again. But with intensive cognitive and physical therapy, Angel stands to recover and lead a fruitful life.”
Rebecca Savage, long time friend and tag team partner of Quinley’s, has been a fixture at United Hospital in St. Paul Minnesota, holding vigil over her. She offered no comment when approached for this report.
